Jennifer Strasbaugh earned her Master's Degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and her Bachelor's Degree from Stevenson University (view her Alumni Profile), formerly known as Villa Julie College. She also completed a Professional Certificate from the George Washington University in Appraising the Fine and Decorative Arts. She has been an independent fine arts appraiser since 1995.
In 2009, she developed and taught Stevenson University's first online, interdisciplinary art history course, Tracing Modernism: Art and Literature 1850-1970. She developed and taught a course on the contemporary art market for Stevenson in Spring 2011. In addition, she was a Guest Professor for the Spring 2011 term for Towson University's Art Topics 782/Graduate Seminar.
For the previous fourteen years, Strasbaugh served as Director of the Thomas Segal Gallery, a private fine arts gallery and a member of the Art Dealers Association of America. The gallery deals in blue-chip art, primarily in Impressionist, Modern, and Contemporary masterworks. In 2010, Strasbaugh continued with the Gallery as a consultant, but began appraising full time.
